Track Layout Book 0334, Year 1959

The back cover
showing a detail of Layout 14. A 3021 (V200) with 24 cm coaches runs along the classic metal bridge, and two 7051 cranes are working on the docks. The bridge elements were replaced by plastic ones in 1970 and V200 was re-designed in early 1990's while both 24 cm coaches and 7051 have been produced until year 2002.

Layout 14 Scheme
(in the enlarged image all technical data can be read) Of course, the layout is designed with the classic M (metal) track, developed in 1935 and produced until 2001: a production time of 66 years can be considered quite a record for an industrial product in the 20th century.

Track Layout Book 0354, Year 1970

The cover
showing a detail of Layout 18. The 3021 is still one of the most important models and appears even in this cover. The shed has been enriched with the new turntable 7186 (it will be replaced by a new model only in early 1990's).

Layout 10
The 1970 book has many layouts with tunnels (that were not present in 1959 edition). This layout is one of the most interesting, with two interlaced loops partially developed under the mountain.

Layout 10 Scheme
The use of small radius 5120 tracks permits this layout to be built on a quite small surface (in the enlarged image all technical data can be read).

The final photo gives an example of the "evolution" in layout building, that occurred in the next decade.

A modern layout
taken from 1983 main catalogue. Although more than 20 years have passed, this layout and its landscape can be considered an up-to-date realisation even according to the present concept of modelling.
