Together with Steam Portfolio (go back to the first part), Decline of Steam is one of the most fascinating railway books in my collection. It was published by Ian Allan in 1965, three years before the end of regular steam service in UK (August 5, 1968). All photos were taken by Colin T. Gifford, who also wrote the preface.

Tutte le foto sono di Colin T. Gifford, di cui riproduco anche la prefazione, che inquadra la fotografia ferroviaria in chiave decisamente moderna.
